Book Fair

Dear families, 

 

Mark your calendars! The fun and excitement of a Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! To adapt to our changing needs, Scholastic has developed a Hybrid Book Fair (in-school with a virtual link) to provide an opportunity for our students and families to experience the joy of reading together. 

 

So, save the date! Our Scholastic Virtual Book Fair will take place on:  

Friday, March 4^th – Friday, March 11^th

 

When it’s time to shop, you can choose to visit the virtual link and purchase online or send in cash for your child to purchase books in person. We will be sending home a letter with more information soon!

Hello Families

Hello Families,

As you are aware next week Mrs. Proctor will no longer be the classroom teacher in Room 10 as I will be returning. This won't be goodbye though-we expect to see Mrs. Proctor around LBS. Although I know this news is bittersweet and this transition may be difficult I am really looking forward to being back in the classroom, getting to know your children and learning together. I look forward to meeting you all at March conferences.

Outdoor Classroom Day Tomorrow

 Hello Families,

Just a reminder that Room 10 will be participating in outdoor classroom day tomorrow. The below message was sent through messenger on Monday. We look forward to a fun day!

Dear Families,

On Thursday Nov. 5, we will be celebrating Outdoor Classroom day. Outdoor classroom day is a global movement to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning. Outdoor learning improves children's health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Connecting to nature can restore our sense of well being.

Students will be participating in a walking field trip as well as taking part in many learning activities related to curriculum outcomes. Please see the map below for the location of our walking field trip.

Our walking field trip will take place Thursday Nov. 5 in the morning. Our walking field trip will be weather dependent; however, we do enjoy being outside in a variety of temperatures and weather. Please ensure your child is dressed comfortably, including layered clothing.
