As part of the TD Grade One Book Giveaway, each student in grade 1 this year received a personal copy of the book, “My Heart Fills With Happiness”. It is a beautiful story that is written in Cree and English.
Some students have a Nov. calendar for Guest Reading in their communication folder - we will have a new calendar coming out closer to December.
Our class is looking into different types of outdoor spaces; natural spaces, playgrounds, sport platforms/fields, different field landscapes, and the plants within them.
We would love to have some pictures of different outdoor spaces to give us ideas of how other places utilize their outdoor spaces.
If you and your family visit an outdoor space/playground please email me the pictures so we can look at them as a class and get some ideas.
The current food drive organized by the Grade 6 Students In Action Club has already been a great success so far. The LBS community has showing how generous they are and have brought in a large amount of items to be donated and that will surely make a big difference in peoples' lives. We are continuing to collect items until this Friday, November 15th, so please do your best to help the Students In Action Club reach their goal of collecting 500 items!
